Job description:   CORPORATE CONTROLLER – BOSTON AREA
MEDICAL IMAGING & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS COMPANY

The company is a leader in radiology and medical image and information management solutions. The publicly traded company employees 300, has sales in excess of $40 million and is a strong cash position as it continues to build its base business.

THE PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The Corporate Controller reports to the CFO, and will direct, coordinate, maintain, and control all aspects of accounting, reporting, tax compliance, corporate governance, audit and treasury. The Corporate Controller will serve as a resource in all aspects of accounting and finance. Ensure accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting in accordance with established legal, regulatory and Company procedure and will assign, direct and appraise accounting staff.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervise staff of 15 employees including an Assistant Corporate Controller, Staff and Revenue Accountants, Billing & Collections.
· Develop and maintain internal control polices and procedures to meet and exceed various accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
· Prepare or direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, SEC filings and other information requests as may be required.
· Coordinate and oversee tax reporting and compliance.
· Analyze financial data to identify development or improvement opportunities.
· Participate with Sr. Management in developing and implementing strategic goals for the Company.
· Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, statutory regulations and SEC regulations.
· Coordinates the annual audit and SOX 404 compliance.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Minimum 10 years public company experience
· CPA
· Recent experience managing detailed accounting functions
· Extensive experience with SEC filing and reporting requirements and issues.
· Experience building top-flight accounting organization
· Experience in developing, enhancing and maintaining systems of internal control
· System implementation experience – fully integrated accounting and management information systems
· Extensive software company experience
· Extensive Revenue Recognition experience – SOP 97-2
· Highest level of accuracy in all transactions
· Ability to perform in dynamic, fast paced organization
· Impeccable financial integrity
· Solid analytical, logic and reasoning skills to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and provide solutions.
· Sarbanes-Oxley implementation experience
· Peoplesoft implementation
· Masters degree in accounting or MBA

SALARY RANGE: $100,000 to $130,000 + bonus + equity
