The Project Manager is responsible for successful delivery of professional services projects. The project manager is the primary interface for the client and is responsible for project planning and estimating, setting and managing expectations, managing change, and managing budget. The project manager is ultimately responsible for client satisfaction while working within the constraints of cost, scope and schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Manages software implementation and consulting projects for one or more clients
o Primary interface for USi to the client for a contracted project
o Provides project leadership throughout all phases of project lifecycle, from initiation and planning phases through production support, including forecasting, setting objectives, and determining courses of action
o Gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, configure the applications, create test plans and scripts, perform testing, resolve system issues, prepare training materials, and conduct training for smaller engagements
o Maintains project documentation including plans, schedules and status reports
o Communicates project status to clients and management
o Responsible and accountable for scope management, including positioning and closing change orders
o Responsible for coordination of resources (internal and external, onshore and offshore)
o Schedules projects and monitors results
o Responsible for all project administration according to USi¿s project management methodology
o Responsible and accountable for financial management of the engagement
o Responsible for timely and accurate billing
o Writes timely staff evaluations
o Mentor staff (Actively shares knowledge and learning from project experiences)
o Assist is selling new work
o Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities within current clients
o Assist with scoping and proposal development of new opportunities
o Possesses a working understanding of all USi offerings in order to identify add-on opportunities
o Assist with recruiting and interviewing
o Potential travel is required to client locations
Knowledge & Skills:
o 3 - 5 years Oracle Manufacturing implementation experience
o 1 - 3 years of direct manufacturing experience
o 1 - 3 years leading client facing engagements
o Experience converting data to Oracle applications
o Understands each level of the software development lifecycle
o Ability to build and maintain executive client relationships
o Ability deliver engagements on time and on budget
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Strong interpersonal skills in building and guiding effective teams
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Advanced negotiation skills
o Organizational and personnel management
o Mastery of MS Project, Excel, Word, and Visio
o Big 5 consulting skills a plus
o PM certification a plus
