Analyzes scientific, engineering, business and other related data processing issues for Oracle applications. Installs, configures and tune Oracle Database and Oracle Applications. Create user accounts and grants and enforces security policies. Analyzes user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and reviews computer systems capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. Trouble-shoots complex problems and develops recommendations and solutions. Performs needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions. Applies analytical quality assurance processes to the investigation, planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet clients' business requirements This position will be based in Sacramento and will require 0 to 10% travel.
Qualifications:
6-7 years related experience, 3-4 years programming or analyst experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required. 1-2 years coordination/supervisory experience preferred. As necessary to meet the minimum education requirements. Specific skills to perform this job include: Install, configure, and tune Oracle Database 10g. Familiar with all primary DB parameter controls. Create user accounts and grants and enforce security policies. Familiar with database triggers, and DB links. Competent in DB tools such as OPatch, Rapidwiz, statpack. Install, configure, tune Oracle Applications 11.5.10 in a multi-node architecture. Proficient in AD utilities to apply patches and upgrades. Experience in cloning the database and applications to support development and test instances. Ability to manage backup and scheduling of support jobs via crontab or OEM/10g Grid Control. Experience using Metalink for research and resolution of Oracle exceptions and data fixes and work-arounds. Experience in applying and managing quarterly Critical Patch Updates. Able to create UNIX/Linux scripts in support of Oracle tasks. Manage alerts via a combination of OS scripts, Oracle Apps alerts facility, and OEM/Grid Control. Knowledge of Oracle user access tools such as Discoverer, Data Browser, Data Loader, TOAD and other clients. Experience with client installs on PC, Jinitiator, forms and browser certificates for SSL. Other helpful skills: Linux admin with root level responsibility (Oracle Enterprise Linux, Red Hat 4 AS). NFS, SUDO, account creation, privileges management. QA and Version Control management. Experience with Unbreakable Linux support. High Availability, RAC, Web Load Balancing in a multi-node environment.
