Description:
Provide relational database support for the ACNielsen applications in Production, QA/Test, and Development environments. Products supported will include RDH, Itemizer, Decision Smart, SMP, Pepsi Fast, and RWS/Planner Series. Specific support areas may change based on business and team requirements.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will possess DBA experience in Oracle, Informix, Netezza or other relational DBMS. In addition, working knowledge of the mid-range processing platform including UNIX/Linux command language is required.
Responsibilities include: database performance monitoring and tuning, database backup and recovery activities, security monitoring and enforcement, and database sizing/analysis. DBAs are able to establish, document, & maintain internal procedures for supporting Production systems. They are also able to implement solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Candidate must be a team player who is able to work both with a wide range of departments and independently. Qualified candidates must also have good communication and problem solving skills.
Requirements:
- Two year Associate degree in Data Processing or equivalent in Information Processing.
- 2 - 4 yrs IT exp, 1- 2 yrs relevant business systems exp.
- Informix, Oracle, Netezza or other relational DBMS experience. Multiple DBMS platforms preferred.
- Must understand relational database concepts and DB administration.
Candidate must be a team player who is able to work both with a wide range of departments and independently. Qualified candidates must also have good communication and problem solving skills.
