This position does not require previous Oracle Application knowledge, just an aptitude for software applications, accounting and/or finance background, excellent communication skills and an eagerness to learn! Job Summary:
This is an opportunity to start an exciting new career as an Oracle Consultant. As an Oracle Consultant you will work with our clients to gather requirements, do gap analyses and troubleshoot issues that arise to accomplish the client’s business needs. Please contact us immediately if you would be interested in hearing more about our openings. All our consultants can work remotely from their home office but are required to be able to travel up to 75% during the week.
Typical project responsibilities depending on experience may include:
• Identify business requirements and map them to the Oracle Application functionality.
• Identify functionality gaps and develop solutions to them.
• Configure the Oracle Applications to meet client requirements and document application set-ups.
• Write business requirement documents for reports, interfaces, data conversions and application extensions.
• Interact with the project team members responsible for developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
• Define testing scenarios and develop test scripts.
• Support clients with the execution of test scripts.
• Develop end-user documentation and training materials.
• Deliver end-user training.
• Provide status and issue reports to the Project Manager on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in Accounting and/or Finance related position.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Self motivated and able to plan work effort and manage priorities.
• Keen attention to detail.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree; preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science or have a strong aptitude in these areas.
• Must be willing to travel 70-75%
