Our Client in DC Downtown has a Contract-to-hire position open for Oracle DBA. This client offers an excellent team and work environment.
Must have both Technical DBA experience in ... system administration, performance tuning, table maintenance and troubleshooting ...
as well as DBA experience on the Application side i.e. Installs, tests, implements and maintains corporate databases and database support utilities.
Maintains database integrity. Ensures database recovery capabilities.,Maintains optimal database performance to ensure optimal client response time through database reorganizations,
performance monitoring and tuning, proactive problem identification and resolution, and space management
Environment is 9i, 10g, 11i, RAC & ASM ...Development, Production, Testing and Training
Required:
Bachelors degree and Must be experienced as a Development/Production Oracle Applications DBA with ERP systems
*This Position requires an extensive experience of Oracle 9i and Higher Architecture designs, administration, installations, upgrades, maintenance,
monitoring, security, database backups, recovery and tuning of RDBMS databases running in a 24x7 environment
- Extensive experience performing in a 24x7 environment using RMAN.
- Experience using RAC technologies.
- Extensive experience developing disaster recovery plans to protect the reliability and integrity of corporate databases
- Extensive experience using SQL Language and be able to write stored procedures, triggers and scripts for enhancing application performance and experience using database support utilities
- Consulting Experience for application clients for connectivity via database API's or other middleware products
- Ability and willingness to carry a pager or cell phone as required
- SQLserver dbms working knowledge is a Plus.
This position is a contract-to-hire starting as a Corp-to-Corp with a potential of becoming a full-time employee. No Visa Sponsorship for this position. |
