Description:

  • Under minimal supervision, responsible for managing all aspects of the installation, configuration, optimization, routine maintenance and upgrade of servers and operating systems supporting SAP version 4.6C or greater. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting SAP using Oracle 8i on an IBM RS/6000 environment.

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization�s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws. Complies with Company policies and procedures and standards and insures quality compliance

  • Analyses and configures, monitors, tunes and troubleshoots the ERP technical environment (SAP, Unix, Oracle, BW). This includes space management, Monitoring, fine tuning, and oracle upgrades (Oracle DBA).

  • Conducts Unix level hardware IQs.

  • Manages the SAP system by utilizing the SAP Computing Center Management System (CCMS).

  • Manages all aspects of hardware and operating system installations, upgrades and applies system patches. Becomes the liaison between IT, CQA and validation when applicable.

  • Manages the intersystem connectivity between SAP instances and interfacing systems using RFC and NFS technologies. Proactively ensures systems maintain connectivity and analyzes with the business any discrepancies or issues which occur.

  • Database administrator for significant ERP systems

  • Establishes and documents standards and procedures. ? Provides consulting support related to the technical assistance to SAP developers and functional configuration experts

  • Manages small to medium project teams. ? Stays abreast of, recommends and evaluates new information technologies.

  • Manages all aspects of SAP security depending upon modules and/or systems (HR, R/3, Workplace, BW). Creates customized profiles.

  • Utilizes SAP Profile Generator to create, change and/or delete activity groups and profiles.

  • Manages the partnership between functional, basis, internal/external auditors, management, and user community regarding the development of SAP activity groups, profiles and authorizations.

  • Appraises and established with CQA appropriate requirement for audit trail. Organizes and maintains audit trails for changes made to user accounts, activity groups and security profiles.

  • Utilizes SAP Transport Organizer for migrating security changes and other system changes.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements. Sarbanes Oxlesy 404 requirements specifically in the areas of security and segregation of duty.

  • In-depth or advanced knowledge related to all SAP structures specifically HR structural authorizations. SAP Transport Organizer for mitigating security changes to other systems.

  • MS Windows, NT and UNIX environments.

  • Project management principles and techniques.

  • Training principles.

  • Supervisory and leadership principles.

  • English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.

  • Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources.

  • Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, recommending and implementing techniques and methods for resolution of problems.

  • Researching, analyzing and evaluating new computer system methods, applications, procedures and techniques.

  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

    � Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with individuals contacted in the course of work.

  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

  • Working independently, with little or no supervision.

  • Interfacing professionally, effectively and efficiently with all levels of personnel and outside vendors.

  • Managing all aspects of multiple department teams

  • Training computer system users.

  • Managing multiple tasks and duties.
