IAP World Services is the Supplemental Labor Personnel for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 18 years of age. Must be able to acquire and maintain applicable security clearance.
These are two very specialized DBA's and a third DBA that has Oracle 11i administration experience. The data loading and Oracle Application Programming Interface (API) skills may be shared by one of the other positions, or could be another person.
Background for resource need:
• Current version of RAC is on 10.2 database & 11.5, 10.2 Oracle Applications running on Red Hat Linux AS3.0 using raw LUNS on an HP Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA 8000)
• Using Oracle AP, AR, GL & PM APIs to load data
• Single and multi-node RAC clusters with 2 node production environment anticipated. Might go to 3 nodes eventually
• No customization attached to this environment
• Have not done stress testing yet
• Profile setting adjustments may help performance
Resources needed:
• RAC expertise (Linux Red Hat AS 3.0 using Oracle 10.2 RDBMS, Oracle Cluster Manager and ASM) to review the RAC environment for Oracle “Best Practices”. This is an immediate need and the duration of this task is 1-2 weeks. There may also be a need for RAC tuning once we start load testing which is currently estimated to start in September or October timeframe.
• Oracle Applications cloning in a RAC environment expertise to review / streamline the application environment cloning into the RAC environment. This person should have good Oracle applications on RAC knowledge and how they fit together. This is an immediate need and the duration of this task is 1-2 weeks.
• Oracle Applications data loads and conversions expertise to help tune and streamline loading / conversion of data. This should include knowledge of the Oracle applications APIs. This is an immediate need.
• Oracle Applications SSO expertise. Our need is for someone that knows the applications patches and changes needed to bind Oracle apps into SSO. LLNL will pre-build the SSO repository. This will be needed in August for 4-6 weeks with paid travel and perdiam.
