A leading international financial software firm needs an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join an established close-knit team and contribute to the efforts across the various database activities. This global company has been expanding into various segments of financial services sector, offering unlimited potential for further growth and exposure to various sides of banking and finance, combined with a good company culture. Friendly and sociable, but busy, very professional, with a wealth of business and technical experience on the team - including the original Designer builders of the system. Smart offices in the City, walk-able from most tubes and mainline stations. This is a great chance to join a market leader building and supporting sophisticated trading and portfolio management applications for alternative Investment Managers.
Your responsibilities will include tuning, benchmarking and problem solving in production environments; upgrading existing installations and implementing new ones; work with HQ, regional teams and DBA departments as necessary.
The successful candidate will have strong previous Oracle DBA experience, knowledge of programming languages and SQL, and strong problem-solving ability. Previous financial sector exposure will also be helpful.
The role offers excelent exposure to financial projects and good contribution is rewarded with discretionary quarterly / annual bonus.
