My client is the World leading online business that is growing at a rapid rate due to the phenomenal success of the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity within a true leading edge environment and a company that has one of the ‘hottest’ databases in the World. They process over 5 million transactions a day and enjoy over a £100 million in revenue annually. All this for a privately owned company that is only around 6 years old.

If so we are looking for an Oracle DBA with at least 2 years experience to join an existing team whom support a number of development and QA databases.
Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Essential:
· 2 - 4 years Oracle DBA experience prefer 9i& 8i
· Preferably in a Unix environment
· Write simple SQL, PL/SQL & Unix shell scripts
· Understand the processes involved with DB backups hot & cold
· Must be able to write tools to automate repetitive tasks
· A good knowledge of the Oracle RDBMS architecture
· Should have knowledge of Shareplex
· Should have experience with Linux Red Hat and ES4
Desirable:
· Performance Tuning
· DataGuard/Standby DB
· Any cluster technology
· Oracle upgrades & patching
· Experience of highly available systems
· Oracle RAC
· Database monitoring tools
Import/export & SQL*Loader utilities
