Description:
The Service Integration Manager will be responsible for ensuring cross-functional service integration across a broad variety of functions, as well as producing data models and mappings, contributing architectural expertise to development teams, and contributing data management best practices to projects. Requires vision based upon a depth and breadth of database and data management knowledge. Guides and champions the Operations organization’s data-related efforts from a tactical level. Evaluates and revises data architecture and management vision based upon successful client solution deployments. Works to deliver robust scalable data architecture, integration and management processes that meet the business goals of the organization. This role requires creativity, as well as excellent non-technical communication and problem-solving skills. The Service Integration Manager works as a technical liaison between several internal organizations including Systems, IT infrastructure, Product Management, and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a technical single point of contact within Operations for identified key external and internal clients for all applications in production and supported by Operations
- Serve as an interface between demand-driven custom requests and scheduled product management delivery process; ability to balance these often conflicting business drivers
- Analyze existing data architecture training within Operations; recommend changes where appropriate
- Assess non-legacy database specification construction relative to delivery in a relational format and extensibility to other processes and applications
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Nielsen Global Business Services and external groups to ensure alignment with related and dependent processes and applications
- Construct process flow analysis and enhancements to ensure analytical framework requirements are being met by the Operations field organization
- Determine infrastructure recommendations based on business requirements for existing non-legacy deliverables as well as new initiatives
- Develop, manage and standardize best practices for efficient and high-quality end-to-end database development by Operations field organization
- Perform hands-on technical activities related to database delivery, management and quality inspection for existing non-legacy deliverables as well as new initiatives
- Plan and document requirements for future functionality related to existing non-legacy deliverables as well as new initiatives
- Collaborate with Business Improvement organization to ensure continuous process improvement and efficiency within existing non-legacy deliverables and new initiatives
- Demonstrate ability to quickly become recognized subject matter expert within Operations relative to non-legacy deliverables and new initiatives
Qualifications:
- High level of creativity
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including non-technical communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a technical liaison between several internal organizations including Systems, IT infrastructure, Product Management, and other key stakeholders.
- Project management and subject matter expert contributor skills
- Ability to interpret business and technical requirements based on varying drivers/constituents including clients, internal stakeholders, product plans, etc.
- Ability to gain consensus among peers and management-level constituents
- Thought leadership surrounding technology and business integration within Operations and across broader GBS and Nielsen organizations
