APPLICANTS MUST BE US CITIZENS OR GREEN CARD HOLDERS.
Responsibilities:
1 Manages the offshore and onsite database teams.
2 Manages the database aspect of application architecture, design and development
3 Maintains a detailed understanding of the database components of various DT3 products
4 Manages the design and implementation of Logical and Physical Database Schemas
5 Manages the design and implementation of database access protocols such as Stored Procedures and Triggers
6 Manages the design and implementation of database security
7 Manages, reviews and approves all database development deliverables.
8 Leads research and recommends new database versions, tools and methodologies.
9 Leads database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
10 Manages and owns all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
11 Reports status and database issues to management
12 Responsible for providing technical support to application development team and to the application users in production environments.
13 Promotes quality standards across database development team.
14 As part of architecture team will work closely with application architects and designers to develop new solutions.
Education: BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Certification: Oracle9i Database Administrator Certified Professional ,
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000
Experience:
1 Minimum of ten years of experience in the area of database development.
2 Extensive (at least five years) experience in Oracle database management, configuration and optimization.
3 Managing and leading database development team at least for one full SDLC.
4 Successful experience managing and coordinating offshore database development.
5 Experience in architecting and designing databases for large scale enterprise systems.
6 Familiar with object-oriented methodologies and software development cycle.
7 Hands on experience and extensive knowledge of Oracle 9i and PLSQL.
8 Proficient in SQL Server Database and TSQL
9 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10 Must have good problem solving skills and creativity.
