Avanco is searching for an Oracle Developer to join a business intelligence project in Crystal City, VA. The Oracle Developer will analyze requirements, design solutions, develop and test code to support clients needs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for Oracle BI application development using Oracle BIEE
Works with Lead and team members involved with Oracle BIEE development and ensures application integrity with a new product features and support requirements.
Uses proper performance tuning techniques across all aspects of the application (e.g., infrastructure, database, development tools)
Focuses on business modeling, dashboard cleanup and report development and should demonstrate competency with Oracle BIEE to the clients.
The Oracle technology utilized by project includes Oracle 10G Application Server R2, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle Enterprise Manager, ETL, and Oracle Database 9i or higher.
Education:
BA or BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Required Experience:
1 to 2 years of Oracle Web Application development experience.
Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit (ModPL/SQL) experience is a big plus.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Strong analytical skills. Assimilates information quickly, communicates complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced dynamic team-based environment.
U.S. citizenship required. (DoD security clearance is a big plus)
Desire to work in a permanent capacity - no corp to corp or contracts.
Desired Experience:
Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, Oracle Application Server 10g configuration.
Experience on Oracle Application Server 10g configuration.
Experience designing ETL processes to populate a data warehouse using Oracle Warehouse Builder.
Experience consulting DoD client.
