General Dynamics Network Systems Signal Solutions Inc., has an opening for a Oracle and Crystal Reports Programmer in Fairfax, VA. The candidate selected will be supporting DOT/FTA's systems integration, applications development, operations and maintenance service for the National Transit Database. Will be writing SQL (Select and other DMLs) statements, views, procedures, functions packages. General Dynamics Network Systems is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer.
Education and/or Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent; course work and subsequent continuing education or experience to show professional currency. Must be able to debug and fix existing programs. Also will be actively create and modify existing Crystal Reports 8.5 . Must have knowledge of SDLC. Must have the experience of working with Oracle and Crystal Reports 8.5, especially reports calling procedures for data source. Should be able to do Trouble Tickets on database programs and Crystal Reports. Three to Five years experience in database operation, design, and development, including system performance and tuning, data structures design, security and access services, and system generation/maintenance in a multi-user, and client-server environment. Three years experience in SQL programming and in ORACLE DBMS products in Windows 2000 plus two years planning, development, implementing, optimization, maintaining, and improving database applications (ie, Packages, Functions, Stored Procedure, Views, and Triggers) in a micro and LAN environment. Strong working knowledge of software management techniques and advanced approaches to maintain systems security and integrity. Skills include Java/J2EE and Crystal Reports are highly desired.
Special Skills Required: Experience must demonstrate: technical responsibility providing comprehensive database and data administration services; knowledge of IS and IT policies, standards, and procedures, including documentation, implementation, testing and maintenance.
