The Senior Technical Specialist reports to the Terminal Operations Management System (TOMS) project manager in Corporate Applications IT, and is responsible for configuration, implementation and integration of various operations packaged solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
As an implementation project member, you will work with external implementation consultants and operations subject matter experts (SME’s) and will be responsible for scoping, design, development, documentation and training of maintenance applications relating to operations processes. After the project go-live, the focus will shift to production support and future development of operations maintenance applications.
KNOWLEDGE:
Technical and functional knowledge of and recent hands-on experience with gas operations applications such as Maintenance Management, Equipment Reliability, Warehouse Management, Operations Execution, Operator Training Simulator and Operator Logbook.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):
• Education and Certifications: Bachelors Degree in IT or Business-related field
• Experience: Five (5) years or greater experience in package solution to effectively integrate package technology into our business environment in order to achieve our expected business results.
• Skills / Responsibilities:
o Responsible for actively participating in design, configuration and testing of the operations packaged solutions.
o Create and execute test plans for the various packaged solutions.
o Assist in planning and establishing “after go-live” activities including ongoing application support.
o Technical, functional and analytical abilities sufficient for the configuration and development of packaged products and systems.
o Ability to interact effortlessly with business/user community to determine functional or technical requirements, to perform custom development, or to solve specific application problems or issues.
o Ability to identify and monitor interdependencies between various application implementation activities.
o SQL Server 2000, MS Access, SQL stored procedures.
o MS .NET experience is a plus.
o Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
