We are looking for a Database Developer on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Durham, NC.

SUMMARY:
The Database Developer is a role within a Data Architecture and Database Services group. This person will be responsible for Design & Development of database components on one or more concurrent development projects. The position involves working closely with Lead Data Architects (LDAs), Lead Database Developers and business users on a variety of Fidelity applications. The role involves participation in following key areas:
Designing high quality and robust data access layers, which includes the design specification of the Stored Procedures and/or Web Services detailed within Systems Design Specifications (SDS) and Technical System Specification (TSD) phases.
Standards based development methodology.
Participate in systems design sessions and contribute to Technical System Specifications (TSD) documents for the database components.
Assist Lead Database Developers Physical Database Designs.
Provide coding and environment support for Database Development team.
The position requires an individual who can work independently and multi-task across several projects. This person must be able to work with a variety of database resources of varying levels, in supporting their efforts. The individual should possess good database and application design skills and also be aware of good application/database support practices. Good development and documentation skills are required as the individual will work with a broad team of resources, and will need to communicate the designs and solutions effectively.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Documentation and Diagramming skills, especially in the areas of writing Technical System Design documents (TSD).
Oracle PL/SQL
Design of data access layers using Oracle Stored Procedures
Unix scripting
Physical Data Modeling
XML/Web Services design experience
Informatica, BRIO, PVCS, ClearQuest are a plus
Java (nice to have)
