Job Description:
Target Analysis Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Blackbaud (BLKB), provides business intelligence, analytics, and direct and database marketing products and services to leading non-profit organizations. Our customers include hundreds of high-profile non-profits across a variety of sectors such as public broadcasting, education, health and medical research, environmental conservation, advocacy, disaster relief, and human rights.

The company's products and services include strategic management and benchmarking analytics for campaign/program performance, OLAP-based analytic applications, and predictive models that help non-profits to better target their direct marketing appeals. Target also markets high performing donor acquisition lists developed specifically for non-profits, based on a unique cooperative data warehouse of philanthropic giving.


The software developer will create and support innovative analytic products and database applications that marketers in large non-profit organizations use to improve their direct marketing programs. These products and applications are designed to leverage a unique data warehouse of philanthropic transactional and demographic data that is designed to facilitate strategic decision-making.

We are looking for someone who can focus on a range of interesting projects that include the development of systems that efficiently process very large data sets to create key performance indicators and variables used in our predictive models. We are particularly interested in someone who has direct experience with the data warehousing, ETL and tuning queries against large databases.

Our software development environment is rich in tools and technologies from both Oracle and Microsoft and includes Oracle 10g, Oracle PL/SQL, Visual Studio .Net, VBA/Excel, MDX, and Java.

Required Experience:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree.
5+ years of expertise in the support, design and development of Oracle applications.
3+ years of Oracle PL/SQL experience, primarily in stored procedures, packages and functions.
Experience with large, de-normalized data sets (millions of records), data warehousing, data modeling, SQL performance tuning and ETL is particularly desirable.
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Visual Studio .NET(C# or VB.net), VBA, and Java.
Demonstrated skills in strong code design, RAD software development methodologies, code performance tuning and benchmarking, and software quality testing.
