Oracle PL/SQL Developer
This is a Contract-to-Perm Position
Job Duties:
• 5-6 years experience with shell scripting and UNIX experience
• Responsible for development, attending meetings, possibly creating test and functional specs.
• Datawarehousing, data marts, operations for Business Intellingence
• Solid analytical, development and communication skills
• Must be very strong in pl/sql and query writing
• Should be able to write packages, procedures, functions, and triggers as well as be able to create tables with constraints and that are indexed.
• Good DDL and DML writing skills are essential as well as being able to write complex queries for reporting
• Candidate also needs to be familiar with writing dynamic sql, and using bulk collects
• Should be able to tune your own code as well as existing code
• Needs to be able to read and write technical documents and specs
• Must be comfortable working in a data mart/data warehouse
• Should be able to use SQLLDR to load data files. Tools we use are TOAD, SqlPlus, UltraEdit.
• Should have some Unix skills
• A basic understanding of path and file structure is needed
• Should also understand how privileges work
• Need to be able to manipulate files and move data round a server and from one server to another
• Editors include Vi, Hot Vt, Reflection and our scheduler is Autosys
• Must be able to read and write shell scripts
• A basic knowledge of C, Perl, and Perl scripting is preferred but not necessary
• Must have knowledge of how version control works
• Should know how to check code in and out of source control
• Must have basic knowledge of how scheduling tools work.
