Description:
Accountabilities: Responsible for designing and developing analytical techniques and software. Will work on all phases of the research and development process, from concept prototype testing through production implementation. Perform complex data processing and analysis using a variety of mathematical and statistical techniques. Requires extensive internal and external consulting. Staying abreast of marketplace demands and available techniques to maximize service to our customers.
Qualifications:
- Must have extensive (5+ years) experience in statistical application development and modeling. Advanced computer programming skills with an emphasis in SAS and other mathematical/statistical packages in a Unix environment is required. -Expertise in the development of analytical applications involving regression modeling, optimization, multivariate techniques or other mathematical/statistical techniques. - Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry strongly preferred. Other industry experience closely relating to CPG will also be considered. Personal skills: - Ability to work independently. - Strong communication skills. - A developed business acumen. - Ability to communicate with clients in a manor consistent with corporate expectations. - Ability to learn new techniques and technologies as required. This is essential since in a R&D group you will need to find ways to solve problems in the most effective manner. All problems cannot be viewed within an existing skill set. - Ability to take minimal requirements and drive a project to successful conclusion by recommending options, solidifying requirements and developing the application. - Ability to translate non-technical requirements into technical requirements. - Ability to work on multiples projects without day-to-day guidance. - Experience working on applications the involve the processing of information to deliver insight to the client.
