Skills Required:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager of Web Strategy, this resource will be part of the project team in the maintenance and enhancements of the Nielsen Media Research corporate web site. Tasks include the adminstration of the Vignette Content Management, development or enhancements, and support of the Vignette Content Management of the Nielsen Media Research corporate website.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with 5 years of practical experience using Web and Application Servers, Search Engines and Databases
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
- In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle or agile methodology
- Expert ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills to complex design and coding problems
- Ability to develop strategic and operational plans for building system architectures tied to the existing technology strategy
- Work with all stakeholders to translate system requirements into functional architectures
- Experience Installing and configuring Apache, Jakarta Tomcat, Weblogic, LDAP, MS SQL, Autonomy, Content Management and Portal software
- Maintain SQL database server , create new stored procedures and queries to collect and compare data
- Knowledge of VAP including ability to migrate sites, integrate with LDAP user store, integrate with SSO login, Clustering
Performance tuning and monitoring skills as they relate to Application Servers, Web Servers and Solaris
- Knowledge of day to day administration of Content Management Server (Vignette prefered)
- Ability to review logfiles and provide feedback and recommendations of issues observed
- Import/Export content
- Debug and resolve issues with Deployment Agents specific to content delivery
- Review content types, make additions, subtractions as required
- Ability to debug and support existing workflow designs
- Knowledge of Search engines (Autonomy preferred) and the flow of content from Content Management Server to Search Engine
- Knowledge of day to day administration of Portal Servers (Vignette Application Portal preferred)
- Ability to review logfiles and provide feedback and recommendations of issues observed
- Knowledge of LDAP user and group accounts and their integration with Portal
- Knowledge of Single Sign On environments and their integration with Portal
- Knowledge of simple SQL statements and stored procedurese
Skills Desired:
- Minimum two years of XML
- Familiarity with Remedy or Bugzilla
- Knowledge of Vignette Content Management Server including ability to extend functionality , install and maintain custom code, performance tuning and monitoring, create and design new content types, find data within VCM specific SQL tables, resolve complex Deployment Agent delivery failures, migrate sites from one VCM to another, design and configuration of Dynamic Portal
- Familiarity with UNIX (Solaris), Linux Administration, PERL/SHELL Scripting, and basic performance tuning.
