IAP World Services is the Supplemental Labor Personnel for the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 18 years of age. Must be able to acquire and maintain applicable security clearance.
Pay for this position is negotiable.
This candidate will support the Administration and Human Resource Directorate applications including the PeopleSoft 8.8 eRecruit Applicant tracking system and Human Resource 8.9 upgrade project. Tasks will range from the analysis and development of business requirements, through the customization, implementation, maintenance and documentation phases, providing technical developer support of simple to complex module extensions, reports and interfaces. Analyze present state of business processes and work flow, develop alternative future-state approaches and facilitate implementation of new business solutions. Perform varied conceptual, analytic and technical functions in support of project team.
In addition to supporting the eRecruit Applicant tracking system, this person will contribute to the development efforts for the upgrade and implementation of PeopleSoft 8.9 HRMS applications software. This position will interface frequently with functional customers, institutional systems users, infrastructure support team members, and external consultants. The primary technical environment for these applications is PeopleSoft eRecruit 8.8 & Human Resources 8.9 applications running on an Oracle database using Solaris/Linux servers. The development tools includes PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PeopleSoft Workflow, Application Designer, Oracle SQL*Plus and Oracle 10g.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- As a Software Engineer, this person will be responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design and implementation), including maintenance and enhancements to implemented and upgraded applications.
- Develop appropriate test strategies for unit, system and integration testing, including usability considerations.
- Develop applications using the PeopleSoft 8.2 & 8.44 Tools Suite, SQL and/or PL*SQL or other toolsets as needed.
- Able to work with other team members to evaluate and implement system enhancement requests using new technical approaches.
- Able to work with functional subject matter experts to evaluate functional application enhancement requests, implement new PeopleSoft module functionality and implement technical system enhancements utilizing new approaches.
- Revise software and database designs as needed to meet changes in business and user requirements, including keeping systems and functional documentation current.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWELDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design and implementation), including maintenance and enhancements to implemented applications, including: PeopleSoft eRecruit & HRMS applications, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PeopleSoft Workflow, Application Designer, Oracle SQL*Plus and Oracle 10g.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, work, and perform as an individual contributor and in a team environment.
DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Experience upgrading and configuring PeopleSoft 8.9 applications
- Experience with Unix, Linux, Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
- Knowledge of web technologies (e.g. web browsers, HTML, JavaScript)
- Experience with Recruiting/Applicant tracking and Human Resource applications.
- Experience with Remedy Job tracking systems.
- Experience with Quest TOAD software development environment tools
