My client is a leading life science and high technology company. Have customers in science companies, universities, government institutions, hospitals and industry. Over one million scientists and technologists use their products. Their company operates in 35 countries and has over 6,800 employees providing excellent service worldwide.
The main focus of this position is to assist in the development of a wide range of applications used throughout the organization. Additionally, you will provide support for these applications as well as a selection of legacy applications. This position may require some travel within Europe.
In addition, demonstrable knowledge and experience in three or more of the following areas:
• Development and support of MS visual basic related applications including Office, VB, SQL
• Development and support for other systems and languages including JAVA, Oracle, Web applications
• Support of legacy applications developed in languages such as Delphi, Foxpro, etc.
• Experience of requirements gathering, project definition and technical writing
• Relational database design, development and implementation
