Michael Baker Jr., Inc. a top 30 ENR design firm is seeking a Business Analyst for our corporate office located in Pittsburgh (Moon Township), Pennsylvania.
Qualified candidates should have an associate degree in computer science, finance or business related field with 3-5 years experience in the area of Oracle e-business suite. Essential responsibilities include: reviewing exceptions to normal business processes within the Oracle Financials and Oracle Project Accounting applications; application and transaction troubleshooting; knowledge of all or some of the following Oracle Applications (General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Projects, Human Resources and Procurement); assisting with Finance Department in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts including monthly closing activities and various requests from Internal and External Audits; managing Oracle Service Requests within Oracle to resolve functional and technical issues in a timely fashion; assist with ERP Support and Finance staff during implementations of new modules within the Oracle Business suite as well as extending functionality of current applications; unit and integration testing in conjunction with application patches and upgrades; and, training of Finance and Operations personnel on Oracle functionality.
Special Skills needed for this position include: Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and effectively convert the solution into an auditable and repeatable business process. Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others. Ability to research and resolve functional & technical support issues and ensuring adherence to all policy and procedures. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and maintaining the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Priority management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated commitment to quality and the process of continuous improvement.
