This corporate finance position is responsible for providing global AP and Cash Management leadership support for our Oracle ERP system. This identified expert will work closely with the global users on their business requirements to help determine the most effective, efficient and harmonized process. This person will be the key contact to review and resolve user Oracle issues and act as the liaison between the IT organization and the user community when technical resources are needed. As well, the individual will ensure global business practices and processes are attained for all legal entities through the direct maintenance of system controls and application setup.
Functional knowledge of AP and Cash Management operations is critical to provide the functional support, project direction and system capabilities to meet the strategic initiatives of the organization. The position will report to the Director of Business Applications for the finance organization. BS degree in Business with an accounting background with direct Oracle system knowledge is preferred. Prior system implementation experience and working with software upgrades is desirable.
Position Summary:
Analyzes business requirements for one or more business units/functions to formulate and develop new and modified information systems solutions. Business units/functions may include: production, inventory control, distribution, finance, marketing, human resources, etc. Coordinates with end user to define problem, data availability and reporting requirements, documents technical requirements, creating functional specifications. Considers business implications of the current and future application of technology and solutions to both the current and future business environment. Interfaces between systems programmers and users to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users within an organization. Develops product/service specifications and test procedures to ensure user requests are met with high quality solutions.
Coordinates with end user to define problem, data availability and reporting requirements, documents requirements, and creates functional specifications.
Identified by the user community as the "go to person" within their application(s) for providing solutions and keep the shop open activities. Takes ownership of user issues and resolves in a timely manner, coordinating with other expertise resources as required.
Act as a teacher to the user community in an effort to fully provide the understanding of the application functionality capability to meet their business activity requirements. Provides training and documentation.
Interfaces between IT systems developers and users to ensure that new information technology designs and resolutions to existing designs meet the needs of the users within the organization.
Establish and maintain system setup and controls to ensure the integrity of financial application data and global business practices
Develops specifications and test procedures to ensure software patches and user requests are met with high quality results
Process user maintenence request for specific applications.
Requirements:
BS in Business /Accounting required.
Experience with Oracle finacial applications, specifically Accounts Payable. System implementation a plus.
Experience working cross-fuctionally in a multi cultural environment.
20% interantional travel required.
