This role will design solutions fitting to the Oracle Applications environment, participate with leadership in the development of project plans, create functional and technical specifications, write and test application code, and review the technical work of others. In support of existing Oracle Financials Applications environments, and in support of both the user community and Enterprise Systems Development staff, this person will complete problem analysis, remediation planning, and hands-on code and data repair.
A BS and excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent problem solving skills are required. 3-6 years of experience in an Oracle Applications Developer role, with experience in Oracle Payables, Oracle Purchasing, and Oracle General Ledger. Oracle Budgeting is a plus. Candidates must have an understanding of the functional processes involved with these applications, and also demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles of accounting. Candidates must have demonstrated experience (2 years minimum) in the design, development and support of enterprise-strength interfaces and applications in an Oracle Financials environment, and have an excellent understanding of the Oracle Financials data model. Candidates must demonstrate understanding of the Oracle security model and applications architecture. Candidates must be experienced (1-3 years) in creating functional as well as technical specifications, with a focus on requirements definition; and must be proficient with PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports. This person must have proven ability in UNIX script writing and a good understanding of the UNIX operating system and must be proficient in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exposure to Oracle Designer, BPEL, Workflow, SOA, and Oracle Warehouse Builder is required.
