The purpose of this position is to:
- Provide technical leadership to US Systems business segment, and clients across business-specific technology domains.
- Partners with Sr. Solutions Architect, EA, and Systems management to develop and enforce technology standards.
- Ensures that business information needs are understood and mapped to feasible architectures and infrastructures.
- Works with Business Segment Leaders to establish methodological and technical direction for information management and application architectures.
- Stays closely engaged with the business segment throughout the engineering phases of a business project
Scope:
- Interacts with appropriate level of management based on assigned project portfolio
- Supports design and technology components on small to medium sized, moderately complex ACNielsen, US projects
- Optimizes total cost of ownership through consistent use of technology and limited re-invention.
- Interacts with internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years experience in information technology with a broad exposure to various platforms, languages, databases, and production/infrastructure environments.
- Experience with web based development tools and Thin Client applications.
- Experience with project management, development methodologies, process design, system planning and current development tools.
- Proven problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective in managing customers' expectations.
- Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Skills Desired:
- Advanced degree
- Experience with Marketing and/or CPG/Retailer industries
- Experience in a consultant role.
- Understands new technologies and their applications to ACNielsen's business.
- Understanding of market research and the CPG industry.
