Oracle Financials focus AP, GL, FA, AR
Our client is on the forefront of Oracle Technical and Applications Technology. We are presently on Oracle Applications Release 11.5.10 in a Real Application Cluster (RAC) environment. We are actively involved in the upgrade to Release 12 scheduled for 2008. This includes the additional implementation of Oracle Enterprise Asset Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Projects and the new Tax module only available in Release 12.


General Position Summary and Job Scope:

The focus of this Oracle position is to provide business analysis and applications support expertise in the implementation, and promotion of multiple business environments. A strong functional BSA with Oracle 11 is desired - who would like to be part of an agressive IT team for a Public company with a long tradition of innovation and profitability. The company will be implementing one of the first ever rollouts of Oracle RAC 12. Direct experience with Oracle core financial and fulfillment applications highly desired in addition to PMP Certification or demonstrated experience, Experience with PVCS or other migration version manager and Microsoft Office Suite of software tools.

The focus of this position is to provide business analysis and applications support expertise in the implementation, and promotion of multiple business environments.

Many projects in support of business expansion require an individual with strong project management or lead capabilities who is highly self motivated and successful in implementations following a system development life cycle.

Qualifications include proven skills in complex business systems analysis, testing and software quality assurance in support of a critical and highly dynamic business organization. This role requires an individual with confidence and the capability to enable and produce optimum services for its customer base. Excellent communication and listening skills are critical to the success of the candidate.

Internal Control Responsibilities:

Support Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating, complying with defined internal controls as well as suggesting and making modifications to the policies, procedures and controls to better match the business.

Communicate upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.

Essential Functions:
The ideal candidate will have experience with high levels of accountability, and will have demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to manage workload and achieve results with minimal supervision.

Plan, design, develop and launch efficient business, financial and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.
Determine cost effective solutions to system problems using applications proficiency, creativity and ingenuity.
Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects and systems requirements.
Work with business partners in developing resolution to business issues using system capabilities.
Proven troubleshooting, root cause analysis and solutions design experience.
Ability to assess business and applications impact of system changes.
Function as a liaison between business partners and technical development staff.
Participate in discussions to provide expert functional systems process knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to articulate complex solutions to business users and partners
Document solutions, designs, specifications, compliance and training materials. Train and/or assist in training users on new systems and new system processes.
Qualifications:
Direct experience with Oracle core financial and fulfillment applications highly desired.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
Demonstrated knowledge of the development, test and migration lifecycle.
PMP Certification or demonstrated experience desired.
Experience with PVCS or other migration version manager.
Microsoft Office Suite of software tools
Experience and understanding of end-to-end business processes associated with core financial and fulfillment operations.
Proven record of analyzing complex problems to come to a straightforward solution.
Experience with large multifaceted companies and divisions desired.
Strong communication and documentation skills
At least 5 years of relevant business systems experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with users at remote locations.
Travel required: approximately 5%
