JOB DESCRIPTION:
BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations. BearingPoint is currently searching for experienced Oracle Application DBA's. Must have a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in the following areas: o Full lifecycle support o Installation, configuration, cloning and upgrades of Oracle databases and Oracle E-Buisness Suites 11i o AD utilities, patching etc o Applications system administration and troubleshooting o Debugging concurrent managers and requests o Database and Application security o Minimum 3 years of experience with Core Oracle Database (Oracle 9i, 10G experience is a bonus) o Experience in database backup and recovery using RMAN o Performance tuning of databases and Oracle Application o Experience in Capacity planning o Strong PL/SQL and Java programming background and exposure to Oracle Applications Development support (Oracle Forms, JSP, Reports, supporting customizations in AOL) o Experience with installation and support of Oracle Application Server 10g. A minimum of 2 years experience in the following areas would be considered a plus : o Exposure to HRMS, Finance, HTB and CRM modules. o Experience with Java either as a programmer or as a DBA supporting Java. o Knowledge of Oracle Replication. o Experience with Prism, Gelco etc. o Knowledge of connection pooling, JDBC, and Oracle Networking (Net8) o Unix/Linux shell scripting, Perl. o Experience with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, custom-scripting, Quest, Toad etc. o Experience with E-Business Suite Oracle On Demand. o Public sector and/or state and local experience. Experience in the following areas are preferred : o Disaster Recovery and High-Availability experience (9iRAC, 10g RAC)is preferred. o Experience with Oracle Portal, Oracle Internet Directory and Single Sign On. o Exposure to reporting tools such as Cognos, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle ADI. o Exposure to tools such as Kintana and Ringmaster. o Oracle Certified Professional Certification. . Experience in migration and upgrades from ver. 11.0.3 to 11.5.10.2 preferred. Industry Experience Required: Database Administrator with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in implementing Oracle 11i applications. Client position require US CITIZENSHIP. Travelers considered. Preference will be given to candidates local to DC Metro.
