My client is a blue chip household name and they are seeking a strong Oracle Applications DBA, ideally with a proven consultancy background. You will have first class client facing & presentation skills, in return you will get daily exposure to the entire E-business suite with upgrades & implementations. The duties to be carried out include: install and configure Oracle software (ie database and supporting applications). Patch impact analysis patch application Oracle TAR Management Application and Database Cloning Concurrent Manager management. Provide maintenance for Oracle installations. Provide physical database designs for projects. Tune Oracle software for optimal performance. Provide a detailed backup and recovery solution and implementation. Setup and manage database connectivity. Design, implement and document detailed security policies. Skills 8i, 9i, SQL, PLSQL, Sun Solaris 8, Unix admin & Scripting, Veritas Netbackup.
