• Ensure database reliability through backup and systems maintenance of the development environments
• Provide second level application support and technical expertise for the variety of applications
• Liaise with suppliers, including the management of short-term project teams to deliver business systems
• Provide technical support and maintenance of the Oracle E-Business suite
• Develop applications using SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, along with UNIX shell scripting techniques, as required
• Carry out systems performance analysis for specific applications and ensure compatibility between applications
• Assist with capacity planning and make recommendations as to the future hardware and relational database management system software upgrade requirements
The ideal applicant will have sound technical skills in a range of areas such as Oracle E-Business Suite 11i or above, Windows/UNIX (Solaris) system administration, Microsoft SQL Server database administration, Apache/IIS web server, Oracle iAS Application Server or MRP/ERP suites.
Exposure to Oracle Fusion Middleware and GRID/RAC tools are a plus, but not mandatory. |
