Description:
Responsible for business and technical analysis for an electronic data management system (EDMS) using Livelink. Interface with various business departments such as Quality Assurance, Document Control, and R&D. Position will involve OpenText Livelink configuration and customization (e.g. reporting and workflow) analysis/development. Other activities include system integration, major/minor upgrades, problem reporting, file maintenance, general and security administration with LDAP/Active directory integration.
Additional duties include:
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
Evaluates project requests to create, modify or purchase computer system projects by examining user requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) impact and existing standards relative to hardware and software.
Evaluates project time lines, resource requirements including human, software and hardware and other related costs.
Prepares tables, flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate system requirements and data flow.
Evaluates project interface and conversion requirements.
Develops system specifications providing detailed instructions and logical steps necessary to convert requirements to program code.
Develops and codes on-line and batch programs using standard development tools to meet specifications.
Analyzes and reviews systems to increase operation efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Writes documentation to describe system operation.
Trains users to use systems and provides technical assistance.
Leads medium project teams.
Remains abreast of, recommends and evaluates new information technologies.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Eight (8) years work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with emphasis in computer programming; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience of SDLC and tool skill sets (Livelink, Crystal Reports, HTML, XML) are desirable. Minimum 2 years Livelink experience, highly preferred.
Knowledge of:
Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
Current Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Skill in:
Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources.
Communicating and interfacing will all levels of management, co-workers, and vendors to discuss and resolve issues and business problems.
Leading and managing small to medium sized projects.
Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, recommending and implementing techniques and methods for resolution of problems.
Researching, analyzing and evaluating new computer system methods, applications, procedures and techniques.
Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals contacted in the course of work.
Complying with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
Training computer system users.
Managing multiple tasks and duties.
